The Junior Sculling Regatta

The Junior Sculling Regatta will be held on Monday 31st May 2021 at Dorney Lake.

New Document: 25th April 2021

We are delighted to be able to be run the JSR this year, and are doing so in conjunction with the National Schools Regatta. The aim is to get as many Juniors as possible racing over this 3 day weekend, so we are just running sculling events not at NSR, and have specified that no one may enter both events. We are limited to 250 crews or scullers on the day so we can adhere to appropriate social distancing around boating and disembarkation, and have specified that the priority will be to allow 1 entry (2 singles) from every club or school entering in each event. However please do enter more than 1 if you want, as we might not hit the limit of 250 crews. When entering please ensure your crews and in particular single scullers are up to racing over 2000m, and are competent to get onto a stakeboat. Please practice this at home, if crews are incapable of getting onto the start and are holding the event up we won’t be able to let them race and we really don’t want to do that. We have taken the decision not to take J14 crews as we think they have had so little water time that they shouldn’t be racing over 2000m at this time. Please see the flyer for details of the events we are offering.
