RulesRun under ARA rules of racing. All boats MUST display ARA-standard identity codes when being used on the Thames, being three-letter code attributed to the club, together with a three-digit fleet number (including zeros) as determined by the Club i.e. GBR 021. Lettering must be in capital letters, in a regular sans serif (Ariel style font), with a minimum height of 6 cm. This must be clearly legible, above the waterline, in a contrasting colour to the boat and displayed on both port and starboard bow, saxboard or vertical surface. No Composite Crews and all athletes registered with BIRO must scull for their nominated club. No Doubling up. No J12’s. No more than 50% of Crew may be J13. Save in circumstances disclosed to the committee prior to the entry being made and accepted by them as exceptional, competitors must have been registered as School or Club members by the 1 st September previous to the Head. The committee reserves the right to refuse an entry without explanation, (ARA rule 5.2.3(c)), and it will do so if it feels clubs/competitors are competing under “Flags of Convenience”. If in doubt please contact Entry Secretary. Entries£40.00 Quads, £80 Octuples. Entries and Payment via OARA only, cheques will not be accepted. Closing date 23rd February 2009. Should the Henley venue become unsafe to race an alternative venue maybe used for the race. In the event of cancellation a proportion of the fee will be returned.
